All
Trades of Tidewater (herein called "Contractor"), in an attempt
to show fairness and to unify all Subcontractors wishing to do business
with our company, has produced this simple format, effective December
1, 1997, and will be our standard of expectation on all future projects.
All Individuals, Companies and Corporations shall provide for our records, a copy of their current Business License, General Liability and Workmans Compensation Insurance prior to the acceptance of any bid. If the Subcontractor has no Liability or Wormans Compensation, a portion of their total job price shall be withdrawn to finance a rider to the Contractors policy and the Subcontractor shall be covered by the Contractor in the amount of 2% for General Liability and 10% for Workers Compensation. Periodically it will be necessary to keep our files current and requests for updates shall be produced. Any Subcontractor who does not produce this information shall be dropped from our bid list until the requested information is updated and made current. With regard to payment , any project undertaken will be billed on completion and to signify completion. A standard practice will be to provide 33% of a subcontractors total bid price as a deposit on any bid price over $500 with the balance due upon billing and satisfaction of both All Trades and our client with a net 30-day billing. If the unpaid balance exceeds 30 days All Trades will pay the Subcontractor 10% of the unpaid balance, with interest at 1.5% per month consecutively. Other payment practices may be made to satisfy certain customers and these deviations will be made known prior to commencement to All Subcontractors. With regard to our clients, all Subcontractors shall conduct themselves in a professional workmanlike manner. Job sites shall be kept in a neat, organized and orderly manner, paying strict attention to cleanliness. All Trades does not allow it's employees to eat, drink or smoke on any project without the expresses consent of our client and expects Subcontractors to recognize the same policy. It is the responsibility of each Subcontractor to satisfy our customers needs regarding work schedule and production pace. It is the Subcontractors responsibility to inform our clients and our office of any change or schedule and/or missed appointments with adequate notice. Any "site unseen" repair or any work which will constitute a change or addition to the original contract or agreement will be made though our office for approval "Prior" to commencement. Subcontractors shall not solicit business or perform any work for a client "on the side" or "under the table" without the expressed consent of the owner of All Trades. A "Referral" refers to a job given to a Subcontractor, for which the subcontractor is dealing and billing a customer directly and will be subject to a referral fee. It is the Subcontractors responsibility to keep All Trades informed of the dollar amount billed and the satisfaction of the client. All trades reserves the right to follow up with the customer to inquire about subcontractor performance and satisfaction with the subcontractor. Referral fees are set at 10% for any job amount not to exceed $500 for any one referral. All Trades maintains its clients exclusively for a period of one year. Any subcontractor who performs work for client during this period as a result of previous work or contact through which all trades has engaged initial contact shall be liable for these fee's until such time as All Trades has dropped that customer from its active client status. A "Lead" refers to a job given to a subcontractor for which All Trades has not visited the job or engaged in negotiation with client. There is no fee associated with a Lead, however All Trades expects the same professional service from the subcontractor that it would from any other engagement. No subcontract will be issued to any tradesman who does not comply 100% with the expressed demand set forth herein. Acceptance of any Job, Referral or Lead signifies the subcontractor's agreement to abide by the terms herein. We hope you find these demands fair and acceptable and we look forward to a compatible, long term and prosperous relationship with all complying tradesmen. D.S. Jernigan |
